Now, back to my card for today. When I saw the stamp set in person i immediately created this idea: Flying mice on actual folded paper planes!
To create this card 1 started this card with a card base with Bristol smooth cardstock and the largest slimline dies with sliders from Lawn Fawn. Then I masked off the edges with some purple tape. For some interest i used the rainbow corners stencil with Lawn Fawn ink cubes in the colors: guave, ballet slippers, carrot, lemonade, freshly cut grass, mermaid and fresh lavender ink on the background. When it was dry enough i splattered some water and Fishtail ink on the cardpanel.
For the paper planes i asked my husband to fold these in the perfect size for the mice family to fly on. He did an amazing job, helping me to find the right size for those planes. The size of the paper planes before folding: 2 x 1,5 inches. Thank you so much dear! Then I stamped and colored my images from the Just Plane Awesome and Just Plane Awesome sentiments with memento tuxedo black ink. I colored them with my Copic markers in Brown colors. My go to mice color is E57, E55, E53 and E51. I then die cut all the images with the coordinating dies. After that was done i adhered them ( the mice) with liquid glue on the hand-folded paper planes.
After deciding where every mice would fly on the card, i adhered them with liquid glue also on the card panel. For the sentiment i cut my stamp in 2. Yes, i do that! Haha, i ‘m not afraid for non crisp stamping or whatsoever. I used Lawn Fawn Jet black ink since there is some inking on the cardpanel. After finishing the cardpanel i decided that it needs something more. So for the backpanel i used the Really Rainbow 12×12 paper. I cut it free hand since i want more design paper showing from behind. So for the cardbase itself i also need to measure the backpanel for fitting it on top of each other. Then I added some white gelly rol pen on my images to finish off the card for today.
