Lawn Fawn Flippin Awesome + Carlijn Design

Hi crafty friends !

As you may have seen before, I recently joined another Design Team, namely the Cloud9 Design Team! Today I’m sharing  my first design team card for Cloud9crafts! I’m excited to show you my creations made with products available in the Cloud9 Crafts Store!

In the first blog post for Cloud9 Crafts, my Design Team Mate Laura from Making Cards Is Fun, hosted a challenge: “create a new interactive card” and upload it with #c9craftschallenge and tag cloud9craftsstore. That means I will also show an interactive card today. A get well soon card with Lawn Fawn, Doodlebug Design and a Dutch Brand: Carlijn Design.

I used Lawn Fawn’s ‘Flippin Awesome‘ to create the interactive part of the card.
I used the large stitched regtangle from Lawn fawn to create a background with the super cute Doodelbug Design paper from the ”So Much Pun Collection”. I die cut 4 white card bases with the largest squares. From the Spiffy Speckles paperpack 6×6 from Lawn Fawn I diecut 4 different colored  backgrounds with the square die of the Flippin Awesome set.
I also diecut 2 squares with cilantro cardstock from Lawn Fawn and used the grassy border to make 4 pieces of grass.
I glued the grass to the spiffy backgrounds with Scoretape.

Then I diecut the scalloped flippin awesome add-on die with Sunflower cardstock from Lawn Fawn.
I adhered this to the Doodlebug Design paper background with 2 mm foam tape.
Then I diecut the flippin awesome mechanism with crafterscompanion paper,. Since the die doesn’t fit in my Sizzix die cutting machine, I used purple tape on the paper so it wouldn’t slide. After the last pull-through, move the die so that it slides completely through the machine.

I folded all the score lines so that it became nice and smooth.
Then I placed scoretape on it and added the colored backgrounds with grass on the white squares.
I also used Score Tape on the ends of the flippin awesome to tape them on the Sunflower cardstock. After double checking I was able to pull the end to see if it worked and it turned out fine! The interactive part is now complete.

I stamped the images of Carlijn Design Beterschaap on Crafters Companion Paper with Memento Tuxido black ink and i cleaned al my stamps with the Lawn Fawn’s stamp shammy and a Makeitbymarko shammy case. Then i die cut and colored my stamps with my copic markers.
For the gray sheep I used: C1, C3 and C5. For the brown sheep I used: E25, E27 and E29.
After coloring I glued wobbly eyes of 0.8 mm on all sheeps. I’ve already had them in my stash.
The match got E25.
The pills R 29, R24 Y15
The bandaid: E31 and E33

I stamped the sentiment of Carlijn Design Beterschaap with Lawn Fawn licorice black ink.It says: Burned out? that’s no fun, take good rest, take you’re time and get well soon!I diecut the sun out of sticky note cardstock and the tab out of mermaid cardstock and cilantro cardstock.I placed all the images on the different cardbases. To finish off the card, I edited the images with a spectrum noir pen for some extra dimension.

HERE IS THE END RESULT VIDEO:
