Cloud 9 Crafts Challenge with Lawn Fawn Stitched Balloons.

Hi everyone,

Today it is my turn to kick off the monthly challenge from Cloud 9 Craftsstore for you! 

The challenge I came up with this month is: Use a sentiment in a funny way on your card or other project. Not just any sentiment, but one that you normally wouldn’t use. Today I used the stamps of Carlijn Design: ”Elegante verjaardag” and ”Blijf Kalm” . As you can see I combined these stamps to make a funny sentiment. Tomorrow I will also post an example of a card with a funny sentiment.

I used the mermaid cardstock from Lawn Fawn as a base for the card. I edited these with Distress ink Broken China. I also splashed on that with water, Broken China, Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors and some Liquid Stardust from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the texts of Carlijn Design: ”Elegante verjaardag” and ”Keep Kalm” with my acrylic block 5×5 from Cloud 9 craftstore and with versa mark ink. I sprinkled on white embossing powder from WOW! and heat set it with my teat tool. 

I punched out the outside in stitched balloon from Lawn Fawn with DoodleBug Design paperpack ‘Dragon tails’ and with Peacock cardstock from Lawn Fawn.

For the die-cut text I used the big ‘CONGRATULATIONS ( Gefeliciteerd) ‘ from Carlijn Design. I placed the balloons on the card with liquid glue and foam cubes. I pasted the text on it with foam cubes.
